Pre-action mortgage protocols were launched here in October 2009 to be used as guidance when facing repossession proceedings.  The protocols are regulated in England, Scotland & Wales only.  They can be used to strengthen your case but the creditors do not have to comply. Most lenders do abide by the protocols and we have had many clients achieve a successful outcome when quoting and using them in their letters.
