The Court Service released statistics on 12th February 2010 on actions for possession. During the fourth quarter of 2009, Oct-Dec there were 807 writ and originating summons issued, for the same period in 2008, 939 were issued, showing a 14% decrease.

In Oct - Dec 2009, there were 877 mortgage cases disposed of with 884 orders made. A breakdown of the orders made is shown in the table below:

Although the court service does not automatically measure attendance we wish to highlight that a large portion of the 532 possession orders that were granted would have been due to non attendance and by seeking advice and attending such hearings you still can come out with a favourable solution for you and your creditor.
